Many companies use a Learning Management System (LMS) or e-learning Platform to conduct training. These platforms come at a big development cost and although very effective, once developed can be rigid, not affording flexibility to pre-engage the Trainees with learning and/or address learning gaps and disconnects.

  • Within facilitated/ classroom training, large expense is incurred
  • Upfront costs of developing, producing and distributing training materials
  • Cost of training venues, training equipment and trainers
  • Hidden cost of employee time spent out of the business for formal facilitated training, and the cost of time and travel to training locations
  • Once developed, doesn’t allow much flexibility – changes come at an additional expense
  • There is a challenge in addressing trainees with knowledge gaps and disconnects with additional learning

The Solution

Pre-engagement training on the URUP Connect Platform prepares the Trainee for the facilitated training in a way that is cost effective and flexible, and Training resources freed up to focus on regions/ trainees that have been identified as requiring more concentrated facilitated training.

  • Pre-reading and/or knowledge is easily distributed to Trainees
  • 'Plug' gaps in a learning management system and/or e-learning platform
  • Catalyses formalised facilitated training
  • Eradicates costs – training venue, equipment, trainer, time and travel to numerous sessions - training takes place on the Trainee’s own device, in any location, at any time
  • Eradicates costly training material production and distribution
  • Daily data - who has completed the pre-engagement training and who has not a, as well as readiness to attend the facilitated training session
  • Immediate and simultaneous deployment regionally, nationally and internationally, in real time
  • Reduction in number of training resources required - freed up to focus on regions/trainees that have been identified as requiring more concentrated facilitated training.

Activation Strategy

Activate via a noticeboard message on the company’s intranet, through posters (using short code) put up in visible areas to trainees, and through an email and an SMS blast from the training department. Making use of multiple activation methods will allow you to assess the success of the different channels, in order to better communicate with your employees in the future, via their preferred channel.
